A remake of Atella's CardWirth game: Mushi no Kangoku .

Permission for the remake and use of the CGs granted by Atella.

Uses of AI in the project:

• Generative AI was used to create the region map backgrounds
• AI upscaler was used to resize the original CGs by x2

Overview

A point-and-click adventure where you play as Leah, an adventurer that takes a request to find a missing survey team on a mysterious recently discovered island. The problem with the request is that the island is home to many giant aliens, that are more than happy to welcome Leah, in ways that she is probably not expecting...

Remake and Original

What does the remake change or add, compared to the original?

• Mushi no Kangoku requires CardWirth to run. The remake is a standalone game, so just extract and run.
• Mushi no Kangoku only works "reliably" on Windows. The remake works natively on Windows, Linux, Mac and Android.
• The remake doubles the original resolution from 632x420 to 1264x840. The CGs were upscaled by x2 as well.
• The remake looks sharper and smoother on 1080p and 1440p with a neatly customized interface based on the original.
• Includes some quality of life improvements and enhancements, where they make sense.
• Can easily support multiple languages, so it might be more translator friendly :).
