Have you considered make pregnancy like a status affect, like for the scenes that don't include giving birth the characters pregnant for a few turns and then gets stunned and has to give birth, causing high lewdness or something

I can’t delete them all on time, only when I come trough the page, so please be careful and don’t click any weird links claiming updates or other versions of the game, the updates are only posted on itch without weird links :).

Idea 1 - Dodging Mechanic
If you click on Leah, click anywhere on the screen, or press the spacebar as soon as you hear the attack sound effect from the enemies. You can dodge their attacks and avoid damage.
Leah's portrait could also do a quick little spin when you successfully dodge an attack.

Idea 2 - Rescuing researchers from bosses
The ideas pretty self explanatory. When you defeat a boss (i.e. the Giant Wharf Roach), you'll rescue the researcher they had with them, and Leah will take the researcher back to either her cabin or boat.

Idea 3 - Marker Flag
If you travel to a location (I.E. Beach, Jungle, Forest, etc.) and mark it with your "Marker Flag". You'll be able to essentially fast-travel to that marked location from anywhere on the island using a map. Kind of like how the "Return to Cabin" button works, but with flags. lol
But the downsides are that you only have one flag and you can't use it during the night.

Idea 4 - Achievements
You can unlock achievements throughout the game by doing certain things. Here are some examples I thought of:
The "Insect Prisoner" Achievement is unlocked by getting all the CGs in the game.
The "Leah the Adventurer" Achievement is unlocked by finding all the locations in the game.
The "How are you alive!?" Achievement is unlocked by getting 100 or more parasites in Leah's body.

Scrapped Idea 1 - Locations 🗺
The "Wharf Nest" is a location under the waterfall. There you can find either Wharf Charcin, Insect Mucus, or a swarm of Wharf Roaches.
The "Sea" is a location that you can only access by going to the shop and buying either a snorkle or some scuba gear. When you've done that, go to the beach, and the location will be open. However, the only things down there though are coral, seaweed and seashells.
The "Abyss" is the location you have a chance of finding in the "Sea" area.
In this location, it's almost pitch dark and the all you'll find are either Jellyfish tentacles or the Jellyfish themselves.
The "Town" and "City" are two locations that you'll be able to find in the fields. In the "Town" you'll be able to find cheap items that don't have a lot of stats. But the "City" has expensive items with lots of stats.
The "Ruined Lab" is a location found in the "Field", right in the middle of the "Town" and "City" areas. Here you can find hints on where to find the researchers, and maybe even find some lore about the enemies.

Scapped Idea 2 - Fetch with Oniku 🐶
You have the option to play fetch with Oniku in a simular style to this game I found called; Puppy Fetch. But instead of a set number of levels, its just one level that will randomly generate each time you play the game.

Scrapped Idea 3 - Flipping CGs 🔁
When you get a CG with Leah, there will be an arrow on the top left on the screen that will let you flip the CGs left and right.
Though I guess that would require editing all the CGs for that to happen, so maybe not a good idea. lol

Scrapped Idea 4 - Minigames 🕹
If you go to the store, the Store Owner can provide Leah some jobs to do for a little extra cash. Every game can be played using either the arrow keys, W A S D keys, touch screen, or mouse. If you win, you get paid. But if you lose, you don't get paid.
The "Sweeping Game" is essentially Pac-Man. But instead the maze layout is randomly generated, the dots are replaced with mud splotches, and the Ghosts are replaced with Wharf Roaches. If you touch a Wharf Roach, you activate a CG with it and lose the game.
The "Defense Game" plays identically to Space Invaders. Leah cannot take any damage, but the building behind her can. To prevent this, you'll have have to control Leah to defend the shop from incoming enemy attacks using her shield. To win you have to get shoot all the enemies on screen. If however the building takes too much damage, the building will collapse and you lose.
The "Delivery Game" is a platformer game with randomly generated level terrain every time you play. You play as Leah having to take a package all the way from the store, to the customer at the end of the level. If you get hit a certain amount of times by an enemy, Leah will lose the package, activate a CG with the enemy, and you'll lose the game.

Scrapped Idea 5 - Power Ups 💎
When exploring, you have a rare chance of finding Power Ups. These Power Ups will give you special abilities, add a new bar called a "Power Bar" that essentially doubles your health, and will give Leah's portrait a cute new outfit.
The Wharf Suit is the most common Power Up, and will only increase your offense and defense.
The Beast Suit gives you an army of parasites that will automatically fight for you. But you only have so many, so it's best to use them wisely.
The Jellyfish Suit can give you the ability to attack all the enemies on the screen using the new "Shock" option.
The Slug Suit let's you slip past enemies and escape with out a [FAILURE] happening
The Fly Suit is the rarest Power Up, and will let you basically fast-travel by to anywhere on the island using a map.
However if the Power Bar is depleted or come into contact with an enemy by activating a CG with it. You'll lose the Power Up and Leah' portrait will go to normal.

Scrapped Idea 6 - Woomies 🥚
Woomies are these cute little creatures that you can raise like a Tomogachi.
While exploring, you'll have an incredibly rare chance of finding a "Woomie Egg". When this happens, Leah will have the urge to put the egg inside her womb.
if you decline by clicking "Resist urge and put it away", Leah will just put it in the Inventory for later use. However, If you accept by clicking; "Give in to the urge", a CG will activate of Leah masturbating with it before putting it inside her womb.
When inside, the egg will take a while before hatching. When it does eventually hatch, a CG will play of Leah giving birth to the Woomie. Now that the Woombie has hatched. You have the choices of either raising it, playing with it, or having it fight alongside you.
While you have the option to have the Woomie wiggle back into Leah's womb and back out. You cannot make it have sex with Leah.

Seriously, I loved your ideas,Mainly the idea of Woomies, I loved this idea, although I think it's difficult for it to actually happen one day, but good ideas.
Indeed, this is quite easy to implement as the frame itself (the component holding the image) has an option to flip horizontally, which mirrors the image in an instant, so no need to edit any CG for that :).
My question would be if there is an actual interest in freely flipping the scenes.
Idk why but while I was reading the choice option for the woomie once hatched I was expecting to Read at any time something like: « or eating the woomie for next dinner. »
Hey ms.mintus, I’ll take a while to process all your ideas, but I can already say that your Idea 3 is being somewhat tackled on version 1.20 and that the achievements are a cool addition :P.
Regarding the dodging, we won’t be adding real-time or QTE to the battle system to not subvert it or make it overly complex, specially since there already is a passive dodge effect, however the spin effect could be a nice visual addition for parrying for example :).
A Discord would be nice, I eaven thaught of doing one myself like an unoficial insect prison discord with only few Channel and no link allowed to make managing easier but its still quite a job to manage since obviously some people are not gonna join for simple friendly chating with other comunity member.
The pregnancy system will be added in a few versions. It is one of the milestones of the project :).
Regarding Discord, we’re thinking on creating an official channel, however, neither me nor Grey have much time to manage a Discord channel, so we’re not sure if it would be viable.
I believe that everyone would contribute to a good environment, however if bad actors would appear it would become very complicated for us to correctly deal with situations without sounding like tyrants.
Well if you ever do a discord I sure could help with moderation if you trust me with that much power of course. ( •̀ᴗ•́ )و ̑̑
It remind me the good old days when i was playing that old dead game, Reign Of Kings, I managed to always become admin on European server by playing that card "Well you know since im from Quebec while its midnight in France and your all sleeping leaving the server at risk of hacker griefing and raiding everyone im still wide awake 6 hours behind, capable of offering night protection agaisnt those god damn hacker" That was such a good game its so sad its dead and there is like only 50 people max playing it each day and half of them are cheating and hacking.
I think having a virginity friendly trigger could be doable for Rumia, but there are some features that are probably going to be hard to do with that in mind. No loss in trying I guess :).
A pure ending could also be doable, but endings will be of the last things we do in the remake, so it will take a good while before we get the story a conclusion.

I made a Strategic Basic Actions Combat Sheet on Draw.io for fun so if there is people ineteresting struggling with combat here is an img of it.
Might do an other version even better with range attack and best options depending of the equipement you have and other stuff, was kind of fun to make actually so could be fun to make an utimate version. xD
Very cool seeing this kinds of elaborate strategies coming up. I would like to add this to the guides, but we currently don’t have a combat or general guide… Maybe its time to create one.
I wish someone would make a wikia and take the weight of updating the guides out of our shoulders winkwink.
Funny because I actually know how to program a whole web site but not how to create a simple wiki page lol. Any way I might start by finishing that french translation before even thinking of taking any more reponsability lol.
We estimate that new boss fights will already be towards the end updates, not the last ones, but along that phase.
For now we’re handling the last unused CGs, so there will be no new regions, and then after the pregnancy update, we will expand the map and add new encounters.
After (or during) expanding the map, we will probably add new bosses :).
What is your Save with the most days passed btw guys or girls? First, im Curious. ლ(◕ω◕ლ) And second, In my first save i thaught i was always crashing at the same day (80 or so) after going to sleep but turns out it might be just because I was spamming click too quickly to skip the night and made the game crash out of confusion every time I did it lol.
Damn so really no need to worry about it lol since then even tho I knew it was probably not the problem i was always trying to kind of speed run and get everything before reaching 3 month (in game) like juste in case lol. but now i will take it easy, and dont worry about how long i take anymore.
I remember having around 200 (maybe more) days pass in my previous save file. I say "previous save file" because I had to get a new computer and I had no idea how to get my old save file to that computer.
Luckily, I managed to get all the location and every CG scene in the game, except for that GOD DAMN Forced Giant Slug CG that I can never seem to get!
I'm not sure on how to fix your problem, but Eroism is usually pretty good on answering these type of questions. So he might pop in eventually and fix it.
I think I need a video to catch how fast you’re pressing because the time lock on the buttons should cover anything up to 150 ms, unless I made some mistakes… Are you still human if you’re spam clicking below this interval? :O
Oh and my test save has very few days, I think 75 or so, as I do a lot of starting over from the same point, or the beginning for testing purposes :P.
Hmm, did you know I always have an auto click set up for other reason like when i play minecraft modded it can be really usefull for many thing. So why bothering spamming myself when i already have one key setup to do it crazy fast for me.(might be setup to do 1 click every 0.01s i dont remember) xD But didnt happen for a while I calmed myself with the autoclick. If it happen again ill try to reproduce it while recording it.
If you ever have the time, make a test to know at which speed limit the fast clicks can break the game. Albeit there is a limit to how good we can protect the buttons without impacting usability, I’d still like to try making all buttons “ridiculous speed” proof :D.
So I don't know where else to report a bug but if you try to seduce the Wherf Roach G in the android version, it turns red and then you can't do anything at all. The music still plays but you can't choose any actions nor tap her photo to bring up the inventory or anything. This is the only bug I've found and all in all, I think it's a pretty great and entertaining game.
Thanks for the feedback :). This is a known bug from 1.15 and 1.16. Seduce action cannot be used against Wharf Roach G because it has no scenes associated with it, unlike the normal Wharf Roach.
From version 1.20 onwards, bosses will be resistant to the seduce action, so this issue will be fixed :).
Eroism! I was wondering if it would be possible to toggle parasites off in the next update, like making all the wild dogs like the tamed one. It's just a personal turn off and I avoid the dog most of the time because of it. Thank you for your work. 💖💞
I understand your preference, but sorry to disappoint as doing this for the next update is impossible :(.
Perhaps as a feature in the future, but it requires manually editing 171 images, so I don’t think it would be done anytime soon, unless a lot of people would also like to have this option, that way it would make sense to give it higher priority :).
We won’t be doing work with iOS anytime soon sorry :(. It is possible we never do it as it is too costly for a free game.
The only somewhat viable alternative is building the game into a web app, but there are also several limitations and performance reductions which we need to study and adapt for, but this is also effort we have to put in to be able to create such a version of the game.
I know this is not what you would like to read, but my advice would be to not expect an iOS compatible version.

No honorifics needed, nobody is beheaded “much” over here :P. The game does have an update check where it asks Itch.io if there is a new version of the game, but I don’t know if it is working for everybody.

Just a small update regarding the new version. We will be changing all map backgrounds to a new style. In order to avoid sudden shock, here is the beach before:
Waaah, Its actually so much better i think, the colors and contrast make it so much more lively and the style is really beautiful. Now when I compare both the original one looks so depressive... xD Im glad with the new one. Nice work!! Hyped to see what the other regions will look like.
These were generated using a different model and this time we are editing them to correct small flaws and create some idea of continuity on the map, so there has been some “GIMPing” (because I’m using GIMP :P) on the background. So far I think they all look better except the hideout, which I’m having some trouble making it look presentable.
The consequence is that the backgrounds will loose a bit of resolution, but personally I prefer the new artstyle :P.
Maybe since I've been with the original for so long, I might have to need to get used to these new scenarios, but I'd like to still have a toggle-type button to be able to freely select new/old scenarios if possible.
Completely understandable, even the previous ones were already a regeneration on top of the originals to increase the resolution.
There are only 2 issues that I need to figure out to enable an option to toggle the backgrounds.
Any new areas in the future will not have backgrounds generated in the old way, which means that new areas will not be affected by the toggle and this will create an inconsistency.
The maps are “prelaoded” when the game starts and the background is static during and after this preloading. Which means that when the map is loaded, it will always have the same background and the only way to change it is to override it after changing the screen to the next map. This will cause a moment where the map background will flash from the new to the old. (this is done to increase memory performance, specially on older devices)
There are ways to work around problem 2, but I’ll have to figure them out.
Regardless the burden of running the game can't be placed on the player, and if that's tricky it's better to just let us take our time and get used to it.
Btw, just out of curiosity what engine are you using for the game and what langage of programmation are you using too? I started to ask myself that question and now I wanna know. 😂

For short, the engine is Godot, which is a free and open source engine for 2D and 3D games. We’re using their own language, GDScript, which is like a superset of Python 3.
oh mb, didnt know it was there eheh, but thanks. I never used Godot but i did heard of it while i was thinking about which engine i could use to make my own game. Since it would be most likely a 2D Pixel Art Game, Godot stays a good option if im willing to learn a new engine that is. But i still have lot of time to tink about it since my main objective is first having a wonderfull story to tell, which i might have, just need to develop it ihih.

The Beast Suit gives you an army of parasites that will automatically fight for you. But you only have so many, so it's best to use them wisely.
The Jellyfish Suit can give you the ability to attack all the enemies on the screen using the new "Shock" option.
The Slug Suit let's you slip past enemies and escape with out a [FAILURE] happening
The Fly Suit is the rarest Power Up, and will let you basically fast-travel by to anywhere on the island using a map.
However if the Power Bar is depleted or come into contact with an enemy by activating a CG with it. You'll lose the Power Up and Leah' portrait will go to normal.

Scrapped Idea 6 - Woomies 🥚
Woomies are these cute little creatures that you can raise like a Tomogachi.
While exploring, you'll have an incredibly rare chance of finding a "Woomie Egg". When this happens, Leah will have the urge to put the egg inside her womb.
if you decline by clicking "Resist urge and put it away", Leah will just put it in the Inventory for later use. However, If you accept by clicking; "Give in to the urge", a CG will activate of Leah masturbating with it before putting it inside her womb.
When inside, the egg will take a while before hatching. When it does eventually hatch, a CG will play of Leah giving birth to the Woomie. Now that the Woombie has hatched. You have the choices of either raising it, playing with it, or having it fight alongside you.
While you have the option to have the Woomie wiggle back into Leah's womb and back out. You cannot make it have sex with Leah.

Indeed, this is quite easy to implement as the frame itself (the component holding the image) has an option to flip horizontally, which mirrors the image in an instant, so no need to edit any CG for that :).
My question would be if there is an actual interest in freely flipping the scenes.

Hey ms.mintus, I’ll take a while to process all your ideas, but I can already say that your Idea 3 is being somewhat tackled on version 1.20 and that the achievements are a cool addition :P.
Regarding the dodging, we won’t be adding real-time or QTE to the battle system to not subvert it or make it overly complex, specially since there already is a passive dodge effect, however the spin effect could be a nice visual addition for parrying for example :).

This game needs an actual pregnancy system an a discord server
A Discord would be nice, I eaven thaught of doing one myself like an unoficial insect prison discord with only few Channel and no link allowed to make managing easier but its still quite a job to manage since obviously some people are not gonna join for simple friendly chating with other comunity member.
The pregnancy system will be added in a few versions. It is one of the milestones of the project :).
Regarding Discord, we’re thinking on creating an official channel, however, neither me nor Grey have much time to manage a Discord channel, so we’re not sure if it would be viable.
I believe that everyone would contribute to a good environment, however if bad actors would appear it would become very complicated for us to correctly deal with situations without sounding like tyrants.
Well if you ever do a discord I sure could help with moderation if you trust me with that much power of course.

It remind me the good old days when i was playing that old dead game, Reign Of Kings, I managed to always become admin on European server by playing that card "Well you know since im from Quebec while its midnight in France and your all sleeping leaving the server at risk of hacker griefing and raiding everyone im still wide awake 6 hours behind, capable of offering night protection agaisnt those god damn hacker" That was such a good game its so sad its dead and there is like only 50 people max playing it each day and half of them are cheating and hacking.

I think having a virginity friendly trigger could be doable for Rumia, but there are some features that are probably going to be hard to do with that in mind. No loss in trying I guess :).
A pure ending could also be doable, but endings will be of the last things we do in the remake, so it will take a good while before we get the story a conclusion.

In future updates, will there be somekind of boss fight? Or are you focusing on expanding the map, habitats and environments?
We estimate that new boss fights will already be towards the end updates, not the last ones, but along that phase.
For now we’re handling the last unused CGs, so there will be no new regions, and then after the pregnancy update, we will expand the map and add new encounters.
After (or during) expanding the map, we will probably add new bosses :).
All the equipment has been obtained, only four CG have not been obtained, and I am looking forward to the next update.
How do you lower lewdness levels? I got stuck with a glitch with the mosquito event happening multiple times
Lewdness has to be lowered with the Lewd Refiner on Rumia’s shop, OR by consuming Pure Eggs during the Easter event.
In the easter event i cant find the supposed 'bunny girl' and i troed to look through the instructions but it wasnt very clear about where to find her

And second, In my first save i thaught i was always crashing at the same day (80 or so) after going to sleep but turns out it might be just because I was spamming click too quickly to skip the night and made the game crash out of confusion every time I did it lol.
My first save is clearing on 300+ Just to get all gallery no crash at all expect if I respawn after surrend by the g wharf roach it crash
Damn so really no need to worry about it lol since then even tho I knew it was probably not the problem i was always trying to kind of speed run and get everything before reaching 3 month (in game) like juste in case lol. but now i will take it easy, and dont worry about how long i take anymore.
I remember having around 200 (maybe more) days pass in my previous save file. I say "previous save file" because I had to get a new computer and I had no idea how to get my old save file to that computer.
Luckily, I managed to get all the location and every CG scene in the game, except for that GOD DAMN Forced Giant Slug CG that I can never seem to get!
I'm not sure on how to fix your problem, but Eroism is usually pretty good on answering these type of questions. So he might pop in eventually and fix it.

I think I need a video to catch how fast you’re pressing because the time lock on the buttons should cover anything up to 150 ms, unless I made some mistakes… Are you still human if you’re spam clicking below this interval? :O
Oh and my test save has very few days, I think 75 or so, as I do a lot of starting over from the same point, or the beginning for testing purposes :P.
Hmm, did you know I always have an auto click set up for other reason like when i play minecraft modded it can be really usefull for many thing. So why bothering spamming myself when i already have one key setup to do it crazy fast for me.(might be setup to do 1 click every 0.01s i dont remember) xD But didnt happen for a while I calmed myself with the autoclick. If it happen again ill try to reproduce it while recording it.
That is fair, I won’t even argue :P.
If you ever have the time, make a test to know at which speed limit the fast clicks can break the game. Albeit there is a limit to how good we can protect the buttons without impacting usability, I’d still like to try making all buttons “ridiculous speed” proof :D.

In the game, it says that there is a red-haired girl who knows martial arts, she will have H scenes in the future
It is possible, but most likely not, as we aren’t aiming on adding scenes to any characters other than Leah.
But if we do, it is likely that the red hair girl will be the one.
So I don't know where else to report a bug but if you try to seduce the Wherf Roach G in the android version, it turns red and then you can't do anything at all. The music still plays but you can't choose any actions nor tap her photo to bring up the inventory or anything. This is the only bug I've found and all in all, I think it's a pretty great and entertaining game.
I thought I was the only one with this problem, I was even more relieved to know that I'm not the only one this has happened to...
Thanks for the feedback :). This is a known bug from 1.15 and 1.16. Seduce action cannot be used against Wharf Roach G because it has no scenes associated with it, unlike the normal Wharf Roach.
From version 1.20 onwards, bosses will be resistant to the seduce action, so this issue will be fixed :).

The original Insect Prison was a mod made by Viscaria for a game called Cardwirth.
The mod was never finished and I'm not even sure you can even find the mod anymore, let alone download it safely.
Though maybe someone out there knows where to find one?
There used to be a link to the original game on the wikia, but it changed, so that one is no longer valid.
Eroism! I was wondering if it would be possible to toggle parasites off in the next update, like making all the wild dogs like the tamed one. It's just a personal turn off and I avoid the dog most of the time because of it. Thank you for your work. 💖💞

Perhaps as a feature in the future, but it requires manually editing 171 images, so I don’t think it would be done anytime soon, unless a lot of people would also like to have this option, that way it would make sense to give it higher priority :).

We won’t be doing work with iOS anytime soon sorry :(. It is possible we never do it as it is too costly for a free game.
The only somewhat viable alternative is building the game into a web app, but there are also several limitations and performance reductions which we need to study and adapt for, but this is also effort we have to put in to be able to create such a version of the game.
I know this is not what you would like to read, but my advice would be to not expect an iOS compatible version.

These were generated using a different model and this time we are editing them to correct small flaws and create some idea of continuity on the map, so there has been some “GIMPing” (because I’m using GIMP :P) on the background. So far I think they all look better except the hideout, which I’m having some trouble making it look presentable.
The consequence is that the backgrounds will loose a bit of resolution, but personally I prefer the new artstyle :P.
Maybe since I've been with the original for so long, I might have to need to get used to these new scenarios, but I'd like to still have a toggle-type button to be able to freely select new/old scenarios if possible.
That's not a bad idea tbh.
Completely understandable, even the previous ones were already a regeneration on top of the originals to increase the resolution.
There are only 2 issues that I need to figure out to enable an option to toggle the backgrounds.
Any new areas in the future will not have backgrounds generated in the old way, which means that new areas will not be affected by the toggle and this will create an inconsistency.
The maps are “prelaoded” when the game starts and the background is static during and after this preloading. Which means that when the map is loaded, it will always have the same background and the only way to change it is to override it after changing the screen to the next map. This will cause a moment where the map background will flash from the new to the old. (this is done to increase memory performance, specially on older devices)
There are ways to work around problem 2, but I’ll have to figure them out.
Regardless the burden of running the game can't be placed on the player, and if that's tricky it's better to just let us take our time and get used to it.
Makes me wonder if there will be any more water things.
Btw, just out of curiosity what engine are you using for the game and what langage of programmation are you using too? I started to ask myself that question and now I wanna know. 😂

For short, the engine is Godot, which is a free and open source engine for 2D and 3D games. We’re using their own language, GDScript, which is like a superset of Python 3.
oh mb, didnt know it was there eheh, but thanks. I never used Godot but i did heard of it while i was thinking about which engine i could use to make my own game. Since it would be most likely a 2D Pixel Art Game, Godot stays a good option if im willing to learn a new engine that is. But i still have lot of time to tink about it since my main objective is first having a wonderfull story to tell, which i might have, just need to develop it ihih.
